Guidelines
  • Students and adults should dress appropriately for the weather and should expect temperatures to be lower while on the water than at home. Layers layers layers! B.U.O.E. programs run rain or shine!
  • Participants should bring a bagged lunch. There will be no place to purchase food during the trip. B.U.O.E. Foundation practices a “No Trash Lunch” policy and urges students and teachers to pack lunch in re-usable containers if possible.
  • All participants should bring water bottles. We will have water coolers for re-filling water bottles.
  • Candy and gum are not allowed.
  • Use of cell phones, iPods and other electronics is prohibited during our programs. These electronics are easily damaged by water and distract students from lessons and should be left at home. Teachers and chaparones may carry cell phones but we encourage limited and discrete usage during the program to prevent disruption of the program.
  • B.U.O.E. Foundation programs generally run rain or shine, with the exception being the event of gale or hurricane warnings or severe weather (lightening and thunder that may pass).
